A native of the Charlotte area, Barry Secrest is the owner of two successful ventures, one in business and the other in media:  Carolina Industrial Agency and Conservative Refocus.

He has more than 25 years of experience in the insurance industry.  Barry is also the author of the book "A Perfect Liberal Storm" which was released in late July of 2010.

Barry began his business career after graduating from Naval Technical School, as an Honor Graduate, and then serving as an Operations Specialist in the U.S. Navy aboard a Destroyer, the U.S.S. THORN. 

He later attended college in Charlotte, NC while serving in the Naval Reserve and studied Electronics Engineering.

 

Barry's passionate interest in politics began to take shape in 1982 while in the USN.   The United States was coming out of a deep recession, and Barry had seen first hand how horribly the military had suffered under President Carter--along with the economy.

Then, he says, "Ronald Reagan came along and the USN was quickly brought back up to ultra-modern power.   The spirit of the country and the military drastically improved.  I was amazed that a single individual could have such a profound impact."

Having been a strong Constitutionalist and a proponent of the Republican form of government his entire life, Barry became concerned in early 2009 due to the changes rapidly occurring all around him that did not represent the historical ideals of a formerly successful America. 

The rapid degradation of everything he and many others held dear was slowly dissolving what the word "America" means to many all over the world.

Jolted out of complacency in an effort to serve while not simply leaving it up to others, Barry, at the urging of both friends and clients, started the website "Conservative Refocus" and began writing in his own unique voice. 

His goal? To aid in the ejection of a new & pitifully indoctrinated generation of radical Democrats along with their misguided intent upon remaking America. A secondary agenda, for Barry, is to teach about the extremely dangerous Globalist movement & to expunge the remaining establishment Republicans out of office while exposing their inept corruption.

His reach-out to inform and teach others about the exceptionalism of America and its extraordinarily successful form of self-government while exposing the lies and half-truths being rendered by the deep states co-opted media, has grown Conservative Refocus into becoming ranked within the top 1% of all websites on the worldwide web.
