The oddities continue, as Jews in the Community of Durham, NC,  join Leftists protest groups against so-called racial violence by Police.

Black lives do indeed matter, except while within the womb, at least  according to the Progressive world, anyway–it’s all seemingly about geography, to them, it would seem.

The Left typically frowns on Jews due to their Israeli origins and connections, at least ostensibly, even while many Jews are Liberal and require the protection of Christian Conservatives within the US….in essence, Conservatives are the Jews’ political opposition while also being their strongest protective ally.

DURHAM — The rain-slicked surface of Durham’s giant bronze bull reflected dozens of glowing Menorah candles Tuesday night.

A group of about 75 Jewish and other community members gathered in downtown’s CCB Plaza to celebrate the first day of Hanukkah with a show of support for continued protests against systemic racial injustice and alleged police brutality.

“We are here as North Carolinians, as Durhamites, as Jews, as allies, to say unequivocally that black lives matter,” the demonstrators chanted, echoing the slogan of the national movement.

The event was organized by Carolina Jews for Justice in tandem with Jewish Voice for Peace, SpiritHouse Inc., Southerners on New Ground (SONG), and the FADE (Fostering Alternative Drug Enforcement) coalition.

“One of our goals is for the Jewish community to support the activity of other groups (against) racial injustice, to support the demands that those other groups have put forward, and to help end racial profiling,” said Debbie Goldstein, president of Carolina Jews for Justice.

As part of the 45-minute action, participants sang prayers interspersed with calls of remembrance for the deaths of Michael Brown Jr., Eric Garner and Jesus Huerta, the Durham teen who shot himself while handcuffed in police custody last year.

One police car was present, a marked difference from previous downtown demonstrations.

The gathering was one of more than a dozen that took place across the country as part of A Jewish Day of Action to End Police Violence spearheaded by the website ChanukahAction.org

The site lists resources for demonstrators, as well as several demands including the demilitarization of local law enforcement and a congressional investigation of racial profiling and police abuses….
