Trump, again, has been proven right, and the old media has, again, been proven as being completely duplicitous…the minimum jailtime, by the way, is ten years per count.
By Barry Secrest
While most members of the mainstream media tried to enact an air of shocked superiority when Trump initially tweeted that Obama had illegally eavesdropped upon his staff, it has been downright amusing to watch how the media storyline has suffered a transformative immigration, over time.
First, from being completely outrageous and in denial, to next being true, but with mitigating circumstances, and finally to totally and completely proven, with even the identity of the unmasker surfacing.
Perhaps, in a spate of poetic justice it was Obama’s dedicated, go-to Benghazi Liar, in Susan Rice, who probably ends up getting the jailtime.
Rice is the same official who, just after the 9/11 Benghazi attack occurred, conducted a series of interviews for the Sunday news shows insisting that it was a youtube video, of which, absolutely no one had heard of, that was to blame for the attack.
From there, many within the conservative media smelled a rat, and one of those rats was Susan Rice while the other was Hillary Clinton, of course.
Meanwhile, the old media dropped into a defensive stance to absorb all the incoming fire being directed towards the Obama regime, which was trying to win its second term. at the time, under the auspices of Al Qaeda having been defeated and on the run.
But, as to Rice and the illegal Obama surveillance, and perhaps even better, in this instance was the fact that only (2) weeks before Rice appeared on the PBS news hour to discuss how she “knew nothing about this.”
Rice then went on to assert that when it comes to Obama spying on the Trump White House, “nothing of the sort occurred” she stated. She then proceeded to lie about what FBI Director Comey stated, and then she lied about the presidential powers when it comes to surveillance.
Point-in-fact, the US president is the only sitting official who has the power to order surveillance records on anyone at any time, just by obtaining certification from the DOJ. The president is NOT required to obtain FISA approval.
Remember too, every single American is under constant electronic surveillance by the NSA, and the surveillance records are then stored at the NSA vault in case it’s later needed in the form of transcripts and that’s where the presidential power comes singularly into play.
Congressman Devin Nunes
But, beyond that in the interview, Rice then lied about what Congressman Nunes was referring to when he was given records proving that the surveillance had been taking place. The one interesting note, regarding the interview, was the fact that Rice pointedly indicated that she was the highest-ranking official in the Obama regime as it regards national security.
Rice, it should be noted, in the Washington Post, had earlier written a column arrogantly trying to make the case that Trump was a danger to America and US national security, based upon his constant flow of inaccurate information.
That statement will come back to haunt her, indeed.
The information from Trump is inaccurate only as it regards the fake news narrative constantly being regurgitated out by the mainstream media, as Obama’s most potent defender.
Finally, most Americans are now fully aware of how the mainstream media, in general, was feigning shock and outrage at the Trump administration for accusing the Obama regime for illegally doing what it clearly did.
The simple fact is that the only way the media could possibly be shocked is because its largely been on vacation from real journalism for the past decade, under Obama. This, by the way, was how the conservative media, which produced millions of pages of accounts on the true corruption of the Obama regime, was able to move fully into the vacuum that the traditional media had left in its conspicuous absence.
“Multiple sources tell Fox News that Susan Rice, former national security adviser under then-President Barack Obama, requested to unmask the names of Trump transition officials caughtup in surveillance.
The unmasked names, of people associated with Donald Trump, were then sent to all those at the National Security Council, some at the Defense Department, then-Director of National Intelligence James Clapper and then-CIA Director John Brennan – essentially, the officials at the top, including former Rice deputy Ben Rhodes.
The names were part of incidental electronic surveillance of candidate and President-elect Trump and people close to him, including family members, for up to a year before he took office.
White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer, asked about the revelations at Monday’s briefing, declined to comment specifically on what role Rice may have played or officials’ motives.
“I’m not going to comment on this any further until [congressional] committees have come to a conclusion,” he said while contrasting the media’s alleged “lack” of interest in these revelations with the intense coverage of suspected Trump-Russia links.
When names of Americans are incidentally collected, they are supposed to be masked, meaning the name or names are redacted from reports – whether it is international or domestic collection, unless it is an issue of national security, crime or if their security is threatened in any way.
There are loopholes and ways to unmask through backchannels, but Americans are supposed to be protected from incidental collection. Sources told Fox News that in this case, they were not.”
